Children’s glasses fall, twist, lose a nose pad, or drop a temple screw. An adult user postpones the spare part. On a child the same fault stops use the same day: a loose temple slides aside, a bridge without pads leaves a mark, and the family puts the glasses in a drawer.
Ninoflex delivers the frame as a system adjusted to the face, and puts the spare part in the box. Adjustment corrects the fit at the moment of purchase. The spare part brings that same fit back in the weeks that follow. If the two are not thought of together, the promise of glasses that suit a growing face ends at the first loosening.
Adjustment has a limit too. Stretching the temple without end is not the right answer as age increases. A baby band for ages 0–1 and a size for ages 10–13 are not the same form. When the face changes in a clear way, the optician looks at the next age band. Adjustment does the fine work inside that band: the height of the nose pad, the curve of the temple behind the ear, the frame tipping to one side.
Care is part of the fit. The frame is taken off with two hands, the temple is not bent in one direction, and the lens is wiped with an optical cloth, not a dry fabric. Glasses carried in a school bag without a case are glasses whose adjustment has been lost. The spare part is therefore not an accessory. It is the continuation of the product.
CK GRUP OPTİK has produced Ninoflex in series for baby and children’s frames since 2019. The way it is delivered does not change: an adjustable frame, with a spare part in the box. The point of sale is the optician, and the same shelf applies to the screw and the pad.
